COOPER CREEK TENNIS FACILITIES

When it came time to expand the tennis offerings at Cooper Creek Park, French & Associates was engaged by CORTA, Columbus State University, and the City of Columbus to help the three entities formulate a mutually-agreed-upon program that would ultimately lead to the design of this state-of-the-art tennis venue. The twenty-seven court expansion is comprised of 14 collegiate post-tensioned concrete courts with DecoTurf Topping, 4 post-tensioned concrete Quick Start courts with DecoTurf Topping and 9 Hydro-Grid Rubico Courts.  Being the home of Columbus State University Tennis, the collegiate courts are outfitted with real-time Court Vision technology. With this new expansion, Cooper Creek Tennis Facility is the Southeast’s largest tennis complex, housing a total of 56 courts. 

French & Associates’ scope of services for this project included site master planning, civil design, post-tensioned concrete design, tennis court finishes and amenities as well as landscape architectural design.
