CITY MILLS
Columbus, Georgia
Powered by the mighty Chattahoochee River, City Mills provided Columbus, Georgia, and the surrounding area with flour, cornmeal, and various grist products from the mid to late 1800's. This regal, historic structure stood derelict for many years, but is gaining new life as a boutique hotel and restaurant. Listed on the National Register and documented by the American Historic Building Survey, City Mills' overshot turbines, secured by their “Hurst Chassis” framing, will soon become the centerpiece of an outdoor dining and observation terrace.
French & Associates was retained by Pezold Enterprises to develop the master plan for this historic site, as well as provide site civil and landscape architectural services.
