AFLAC JOHN B. AMOS CANCER CENTER
Columbus, Georgia
Columbus has been the home of Aflac since its founding in 1955 by Mr. John B. Amos. As a world leader in cancer insurance, it was inevitable that Mr. Amos’ legacy be memorialized through the development of a world-class cancer treatment facility in his home town.
AFLAC and Columbus Regional Healthcare tasked French & Associates with the mission to provide a healing and peaceful environment for both patient and family. To complement the therapy occurring within the Center, outdoor patient treatment spaces, family meditation terraces, and prayer gardens became the focus of the master plan design.
Working with Perkins & Will, Architects, French & Associates provided site civil, landscape architecture and site amenity design.
